Overview
The Stem Cell Podcast was launched in 2013 by two research scientists, Drs Yosif Ganat and Chris Fasano. Their goal was to create an accessible, entertaining resource for scientists to keep current on the latest developments in stem cell research, as well as to interview key influencers in the stem cell field about their work and perspectives on the field. Yosif left the podcast in early 2016 to focus on his research career, and after a brief hiatus, the current hosts, Drs Kiki Sanford and Daylon James joined the team. Kiki and Daylon were warmly welcomed by loyal podcast listeners. Their friendly dynamic, keen wit, and extensive scientific expertise have added depth, insight and flavor to the podcast. In late 2018, Kiki left the podcast, leaving Daylon as sole host.
In December of 2016, the Stem Cell Podcast was acquired by STEMCELL Technologies, a biotechnology company based out of Vancouver, Canada. STEMCELL provides the podcast under their Science Communication Program, alongside several other services to keep scientists current and connected with their fields. STEMCELL keeps the podcast true to its roots, still covering the top recent science and interviewing groundbreaking scientists, while also growing the podcast, creating new opportunities and enabling it to reach to reach a larger audience of stem cell scientists and science enthusiasts.
About Our Hosts
